Dr. Sharon Gorman has maintained several large family practices for over 20 years, specializing in health and wellness. She has cared for thousands of patients and has performed over half a million adjustments in her career.
Dr. Sharon graduated from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta Georgia in 1984. Her first position as a Chiropractor was in Thomasville Pennsylvania. After working with another Chiropractor for a year she decided to open her first practice in Stroudsburg in June of 1985. In 1987 she opened her second practice in Brodheadsville and in 1989 she opened offices in Marshall’s Creek and Pocono Summit.
In 1990 Dr. Sharon got married to her husband Ron and they began a family. They now have four children, Shayna born in 1992, Shelby born in 1993 and twins Seth and Sophie born in 1996.
By late 1996 Dr. Sharon was bored so she opened another office in East Stroudsburg. (Only kidding, she wasn’t bored!) By that time she had sold two of her offices and had replaced herself in her other two offices in order to take maternity leave so she was ready for a new project. In 2005 she sold her other two offices. This is currently her only office and she devotes all of her patient time to this practice.
Our practice in East Stroudsburg has been growing rapidly over the last few years. We are proud to welcome Dr. Gena, a very accomplished doctor. We are ready to take care of the comunity and are currently accepting new patients. Most new patients are able to be seen the same day they walk in or call for an appointment.
Dr. Sharon Gorman has always been very active in the Chiropractic Community as well as the local community. She has recently begun to serve her second 3-year appointment on the Board of Trustees of Life University. She travels to Atlanta at least 6 times a year to fulfill this obligation. She serves on the Board of her state association, the Chiropractic Fellowship of PA. She speaks at many Chiropractic Colleges and at many State Association Seminars. She puts on a monthly seminar for Chiropractors here in the Pocono’s, which is also open to perspective Chiropractic students.
Here in the Pocono’s she is involved with the East Stroudsburg Community Alliance. She is a past President of Temple Israel of the Pocono’s and remains very active with the Hebrew School. Most of her time outside of Chiropractic is spent with her family. She is a sponsor of the Stroudsburg Area Wrestling Association and can be seen at most of their matches along with most Monroe Saints Football games, Cheerleading Competitions and Little League games.

Dr. Sandy Gordon, our newest addition to the practice, started out as a patient in Dr. Sharon’s practice when she was 10 years old. When she turned 16, she started working at Gorman Chiropractic as an assistant. Is was during her time in the office seeing people’s lives change and miracles happen that she knew it was her life’s mission to serve people and her community through chiropractic care. She graduated high school and started college at North Hampton locally so that she could continue to work at the office. After finishing her pre-requisite courses, she moved down to Marietta Georgia to attend Life University, to begin her chiropractic education. In 2009 she graduated from Life University and returned home with her husband and 2 year old son. Dr. Sharon has been her mentor through the years and it was Dr. Sandy’s dream to return back home to be a part of the practice that she grew up in.

Born and raised in Brooklyn NY, I moved to the Poconos in July of 2005. I am married 24 years and have three sons: Matt, Brian and Chris. I have one dog, three cats and three birds. I worked for a major financial institution for 33 years, mainly dealing with financial planning and investment banking. I always enjoyed working with people. I retired from the bank and moved to the Poconos to begin a new venture. I obtained my real estate license and then for a short time, I worked at a casino. After leaving the casino, I remained unemployed for a few months. I was then offered a fabulous job here at Gorman Chiropractic. I was a patient for four years and I always enjoyed coming into this office with my family for our weekly adjustments. Now, working here has extended my family with my co-workers and patient. Chiropractic is a way of life for not only me, but for my family. I have made many new friends and look forward to working here for many years to come! |

Hi, my name is Carmen Marti and I was first introduced to chiropractic care after a back injury 15 years ago. This back injury helped turn on my knowledge and power of the healthy chiropractic lifestyle. Working here at Gorman Chiropractic and meeting new patients is such a great thrill. Not only have I made great friends with my co-workers, but also with those new and old patients. Everyday is a learning experience to see the patients learn how to live a chemical-free life through chiropractic care. My family and I are all patients at Gorman Chiropractic and are all working toward better health through life with chiropractic. I have three sons: Adam, a Marine stationed in San Diego, CA; Daniel, lives at home and attends college; and Emilio who is starting college this year. My husband Alex is an electrician and a NY commuter. Together we just celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary! |
